Frequently asked questions

Questions about renting your car

How does renting my car to LaraGo work?
You contact LaraGo with your car details (make, model, year and general condition), we assess the vehicle, sign a simple contract with the agreed weekly payment, and after handover you start receiving your payment.
How much can I receive in weekly rent?
In general, the fixed weekly payment ranges from €200 to €600 gross, depending on the vehicle, its condition and the agreed model. The exact amount is set case by case before you sign the contract.
Is there any cost for the car owner?
LaraGo charges a management fee of €50 per week only while your car is rented and assigned to the fleet. When the vehicle is not in operation, this fee does not apply.
Will I always receive the same amount, regardless of mileage?
Yes. You receive a fixed weekly payment, with the exact amount set case by case, always the same regardless of kilometres or trips completed.
What requirements must my vehicle meet?
By law (Law no. 45/2018), the vehicle must be under 7 years old from the date of first registration, have a Portuguese licence plate, up to 9 seats and, on Bolt, 5 doors. Uber and Bolt in Portugal follow these TVDE legal requirements. The car also needs a valid registration document (DUA), valid periodic inspection (IPO) and car insurance suitable for TVDE activity.
Do I need to manage the driver who will drive my car?
No. LaraGo handles assigning the vehicle to a driver for the duration of the rental agreement, so you do not need to find drivers or negotiate on your own.
Does LaraGo help with paperwork and vehicle insurance?
Yes. We support you with TVDE-related paperwork, including arranging the insurance required for the activity, vehicle documentation and assignment to the Uber and Bolt platforms.
